• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, effective, and holistic patient care.
• Provide supervision and oversight to NPs or PAs working under the supervision of a collaborating psychiatrist, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania state laws.
• Offer expertise on psychiatric medications, potential side effects, and management of co-occurring disorders.
• Provide ongoing consultation to clinical staff regarding psychiatric care, assessment techniques, and treatment options.
• Participate in clinical meetings, case reviews, and discussions to improve patient outcomes and care delivery.
• Maintain licensure and certifications required to practice in Pennsylvania.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist.
• Active Pennsylvania medical license in good standing.
• Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders, treatment modalities, and medication management.
• Experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania's laws and regulations related to collaborating with nurse practitioners or physician assistants.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in geriatric psychiatry or long term care settings.
