Vital Healthcare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Provider to join our growing team. In this rewarding role, you will specialize in diagnosing and treating patients in long-term care settings who are experiencing conditions related to the muscles, bones, and nervous system—conditions that impact both physical and cognitive function.
We are looking for a provider who brings both clinical expertise and a patient-centered mindset to their work. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in managing a wide range of diagnoses, be comfortable working with geriatric populations, and possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and referring physicians.
What You'll Do:
- Perform thorough evaluations including physical examinations, patient histories, and diagnostic testing.
- Diagnose and manage conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and other neurological disorders.
- Develop and implement non-surgical treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs—including medications, injections, assistive devices, and modalities such as heat therapy, cold therapy, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
- Provide pain management procedures such as joint, soft tissue, and nerve injections.
- Regularly assess patient progress and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes.
- Serve as a clinical resource within the facility, offering professional insights into the rehab needs of patients in skilled nursing environments.
- Stay current with advancements in PM&R treatment techniques and technologies.
